Clamshell Quilt Kit - Small - Arizona

Create a stunning lap quilt with this ready-to-sew clamshell quilt-top kit. All the prep (fabric selection, pattern calculations, measuring, cutting and notching of every individual piece) is done — saving you hours! Simply open and start creating.

Generally our clam kits will have spare pieces and we endeavour to include a base of generic fabrics (such as white-on-white, whites, creams, or greys depending on the main fabric) so the featured fabric really pops.

'ARIZONA' + 'BOUND' BY APRIL RHODES FOR ART GALLERY FABRICS 2014

According to the Art Gallery Fabrics archive, This stunning range by April Rhodes was inspried by "the fantasy of a traveling desert nomad is etched with shades of gold and peach against a dusty sky. Motifs of arrowheads and bones lay against the clay and sienna colored textures, evoking a graceful snapshot of the southwestern spirit."  Featuring a couple of pieces from Aprils 'Bound' collection as well.

The white-on-white Cactus pieces in this kit are from Dear Stella.

• DESIGN LAYOUT: Equal to 44 x 8” finished clamshells - 4 wide across x 5.5 long down.  See example quilt.

• FINISHED QUILT SIZE: Small/lap 32" x 44" (82cm x 112cm)

• WHAT'S INCLUDED: 54 x pre-cut, pre-notched pieces for your quilt top (35 full clams and 19 part clams), printed step-by-step instructions and video tutorial.

• EQUIPMENT: Needle, cotton thread, pins, iron, scissors, basting spray (optional), un-picker, ruler.   You can also sew these large Clamshell with sewing machine for more experienced.

• SKILLS:  Basic hand sewing skills such as running stitch and maintaining a consistent seam allowance.
